Sergio Vargas Marin

Sergio Vargas Marin is an experienced professional in the field of industrial engineering with a strong focus on operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Since August 2019, Sergio has held the position of Jefe Departamento de Ingeniería Industrial at Progen S.A., where responsibilities include coordinating and implementing cross-organizational improvement projects. Prior roles include Lean Manufacturing Engineer at Belcorp, where project coordination and performance monitoring were key responsibilities, and a contributor to industrial engineering and continuous improvement projects at Bosch. Sergio also has experience in logistics engineering, project management in production improvement, and teaching assistance at Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Sergio holds a double master's degree from Grenoble INP in industrial engineering and a diploma in industrial management from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, complemented by a strong foundation in software development and information management from San Pablo High School.
