Gerald Lushington

Gerald Lushington has a diverse work experience in various scientific and consulting roles. Gerald began their career as a Scientific Specialist at OSC, where they worked from 1997 to 2001. Gerald then served as the Director of Laboratories at the University of Kansas from 2001 to 2012. During this time, they also worked as a Principal Consultant at LiS Consulting, providing expert consultation in computational science and pharmacological/biotechnology applications. In 2011, they took on the role of Bioinformatics Editor at WebMed Central. From 2012 onwards, they served as a Professor of Human Nutrition (adjunct) at Kansas State University, conducting research on antimicrobial peptides. Gerald also worked as a Senior Research Fellow at Qnapsyn Bioscience, Inc. from 2020 to 2021. In 2021, they became the Chief Scientific Officer at Qnapsyn Biosciences, Inc. and later joined Progentec Diagnostics, Inc. as the Head of AI and Data Science in 2023.

Gerald Lushington obtained their Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of New Brunswick between 1991 and 1996.
