Joon-Yong Lee has a long and varied work experience. Joon-Yong began their career in 2011 at the Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute International, where they worked as a Researcher. During this time, they contributed to the development of several modules to estimate the human's attentions with the behavioral information. Joon-Yong then moved to Iowa State University in 2013, where they worked as a PostDoc. During this time, they developed a Java application to build a pathway database combining AraCyc and KEGG, and a web service based on Node. js and Cytoscape. In 2014, they moved to the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory - PNNL, where they worked as a Staff Scientist and Postdoctoral Research Associate. During this time, they participated in designing and implementing Active Data Biology. Finally, in 2021, they moved to PrognomiQ Inc, where they currently work as a Principal Data Scientist.
Joon-Yong Lee has a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electronics Engineering from Ajou University, which they obtained between 1998 and 2002. Joon-Yong then went on to earn a Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology between 2002 and 2004. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical Engineering from the same institution between 2004 and 2011. Additionally, they have a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera Course Certificates, which they obtained in April 2016.
