Brandy Plunkett

Brandy Plunkett has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Brandy currently holds the position of VP - Global Risk & Compliance at Progress Rail, A Caterpillar Company since April 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director - Global Compliance at the same company from March 2021 to April 2022. Brandy also worked as the Global Compliance Manager at Progress Rail from June 2016 to March 2021, where they performed due diligence on high-risk business partners and designed and executed training programs on compliance-related topics.

Before joining Progress Rail, Brandy held the role of Internal Controls Coordinator at the company from June 2014 to June 2016. Brandy was responsible for managing various internal testing procedures, analyzing business functions for internal controls, and providing consulting services.

In addition to their experience at Progress Rail, Brandy has held other positions in their career. Brandy worked as a Sales Representative at The Hershey Company from October 2013 to June 2014, managing a sales territory and achieving growth targets. Prior to that, they held roles as a Leasing Coordinator and Paralegal at Progress Rail Services and as a Paralegal at Maynard, Cooper & Gale, P.C. from 2007 to 2010.

Brandy Plunkett, CFE, CP, MBA has a diverse education history. Brandy began their educational journey in 2004 when they attended Gadsden State Community College. During their time there, they pursued their Associate of Applied Science degree in Paralegal Studies, graduating in 2006.

After completing their associate degree, Brandy Plunkett continued their education at The University of Alabama, where they enrolled in the Commerce and Business Administration program. Brandy dedicated three years to their studies, graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree.

Driven to further enhance their knowledge and skills, Brandy Plunkett pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. From 2018 to 2020, they immersed herself in this comprehensive program, acquiring advanced knowledge in various business aspects.

In addition to their academic achievements, Brandy Plunkett holds the esteemed title of Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), which they obtained in January 2016. Brandy received this certification from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), showcasing their expertise in fraud detection and prevention.
