Kunj Modi is a Senior Project Engineer at Progress Rail, A Caterpillar Company, since October 2024. Prior experience includes a role as Product Manager at Zoomlion Heavy Industry NA, Inc., where responsibilities included managing construction machines, specifically excavators and skid steer loaders for the North American market. Earlier positions at Zoomlion involved positions as Senior Engineer, Engineer II, and Mechanical Engineer within the Power Systems Engineering Team. Kunj Modi began a career in the engineering field at Exa Corporation as an Application Engineer Intern, focusing on aerodynamic CFD simulations for heavy vehicles, and contributed as a Research Assistant at KJ Somaiya College of Engineering on a solar-powered cooling system project. Kunj Modi holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Thermal-Fluid Sciences from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
