Jim Harvey has over 23 years of work experience in software engineering and management roles. Jim is currently working as the Director of Software Engineering at Progress Residential® since March 2022. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2021, they were the Director of Software Engineering at Allstate Identity Protection, where they successfully led the re-platforming of a legacy system, corporate rebrand, and launched a new product in the direct-to-consumer market. During their tenure, they increased the subscriber base by 20% through effective utilization of Google Analytics and customer feedback.
Before joining Allstate, Jim worked at General Dynamics C4 Systems for 15 years. From 2012 to 2018, they served as the Software Manager for Cloud Computing Environment and was responsible for overseeing project development, aligning business and technical teams, and evaluating software licensing. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as the Software Manager for Rapid Research and Design, contributing significantly to the development and deployment of a competitive product within budget and schedule. From 2003 to 2010, Jim held the role of Portfolio Manager for Multiple Strategic Projects, executing various programs and implementing division-wide status portals.
Jim began their career at Motorola Solutions in 1999 as a Staff Software Engineer.
Jim Harvey has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University at Buffalo. Jim is also a Certified Scrum Master through the Scrum Alliance.
