Joyce Hwu

Joyce Hwu, ACAS MAAA, is an experienced product manager currently working at Progressive Insurance since August 2007. In this role, Joyce oversees the P&L for Drive-branded personal lines products in California, managing ratemaking, underwriting analytics, and distribution strategy. Previous positions at Progressive include leading the Auto and Homeowners lines of business and supervising analysts in Corporate Loss Reserving. Joyce also held the role of Senior Pricing Analyst in Personal Lines, focusing on rate adequacy and regulatory compliance. Prior to Progressive, Joyce worked as a Product Manager at ASI™ and completed a marketing internship at Sigma-Aldrich. An academic background includes a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and attendance at Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy.
