Director, Human Resources at Progressive Technology Federal Systems

Sharon Lewis has over 30 years of experience in the field of Human Resources. Sharon started their career at Datanamics Inc in 1989, where they held the position of Executive Vice President and Director of Human Resources. In this role, they provided senior management oversight, leading the human resources, contracts, and program management activities. Sharon was responsible for all human capital activities, including staffing and recruiting, performance and change management, and compensation and benefits. Sharon also played a key role in business process re-engineering, program management, and served as the senior interface for all contract activities. Sharon worked at Datanamics Inc until 2007.

In 2008, Sharon joined Progressive Technology Federal Systems, Inc. as the Director of Human Resources. In this role, they are a senior HR leader responsible for managing all aspects of Human Resources to support the company's mission and growth strategy. Sharon ensures that the company effectively utilizes its people, skills, and capabilities. Sharon also provides support for the corporate security program and serves as the Alternate FSO.

Sharon Lewis, MS, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Human Resource Management from American University, completed from 1997 to 1999. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Management Studies and HR Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus, where they studied from 1994 to 1997.

In terms of additional certifications, in June 2000, Sharon achieved the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI). Later, in June 2015, they obtained a certification from SHRM, using their own name, Sharon D Lewis.
