Dimitri Ghecas has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Dimitri currently holds the position of Director of Operations, Primary Care, and is also a Physician Assistant in Urgent Care and Extended Care Center at ProHEALTH Care New York since February 2019. Previously, they worked at New Milford Medical Group as a Practice Administrator from September 2016 to February 2019, and as Director of Clinical Operations from September 2002 to September 2016. During their time at New Milford Medical Group, they played a key role in managing clinical operations and implementing several programs. Dimitri also hired, trained, and supervised mid-level providers and medical assistants. Prior to that, Dimitri worked as a Staff Physician Assistant in Urgent Care on a part-time basis at ProHealth Physicians Connecticut from June 2010 to February 2019. Dimitri also gained experience as a Staff Surgical Physician Assistant at Danbury Orthopedics from January 2001 to February 2002, and as a Staff Physician Assistant at Primary Care, Department of Physician Services from June 1997 to January 2001.

Dimitri Ghecas MBA PAC, PT began their education at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT from 1988 to 1992, where they focused on Physical Therapy. Following this, they attended Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from 1994 to 1997, completing their PA Program. In 1993, Ghecas pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Business and Health Care Administration at the Western CT State University's Ancell School of Business.

Ghecas obtained further certifications in their career. In 1997, they received Special Recognition in Surgery Certification from NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants). More recently, in 2013, they became a Certified Medical Examiner for Commercial Driver Fitness Determinations through the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners.
