Jay Berger M.D.

Jay Berger, MD has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Jay is currently employed at Optum as a Medical Director and additionally serves as a Distinguished Physician Partner. Prior to this, they worked at ProHEALTH where they held multiple positions including Medical Director, Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics, Managing Director, Partner at ProHEALTH Pediatrics, Lake Success, Chief Medical Officer, Associate Chairman of Pediatrics, and Pediatric Chief Information Officer. Before joining ProHEALTH, they served as the President of TSImed. Jay is also affiliated with the Donald & Barbara Zucker School of Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics.

Jay Berger, MD completed their education in a chronological manner. Jay graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Bellmore between 1986 and 1990. Jay then pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biological Basis of Behavior from the University of Pennsylvania from 1990 to 1994. Next, they attended the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where they obtained their MD degree in Medicine from 1994 to 1998. Finally, they completed their Residency and served as Chief Resident in Pediatrics at Cohen Children's Medical Center/ LIJ between 1998 and 2002.
