Tyler Wright

You can find Tyler on the back of a motorcycle or a chicken bus, exploring Central America to find new partners and opportunities for Project Alianza. He’s currently located in Guatemala, but his beginnings trace back to an advocates trip in 2017 when he first fell in love with the region, with coffee, and especially with community-based work. One year later, Tyler left his desk job in the states and moved to Nicaragua to lead advocates trips, host visitors, and create media content to engage more people with Alianza’s work. Now Tyler is involved in every facet, from expanding Alianza’s impact to new countries and contexts, to fundraising, to marketing, and ensuring everyone on the Alianza team has access to their e-mail. His primary focus in Central America is connecting and collaborating with coffee farmers, government officials, and other NGOs to reach more children who need quality education by hiring and training local women to run literacy and mentorship programs.
