Dan Tchernov

COO & PI Of Marine Operations at Project CETI (Cetacean Translation Initiative)

Dan Tchernov serves as the Scientific Director of the M. Kahn Marine Research Station at The Leon H. Charney School of Marine Science and holds titles such as Vice President of External Relations and Associate Professor at the University of Haifa since 2009. In addition, Dan Tchernov is the COO and Principal Investigator of Marine Operations for Project CETI (Cetacean Translation Initiative) since June 2020. Prior experience includes roles as a Lecturer at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Administrative Director at the Inter-University Institute for Marine Sciences from 2004 to 2009, as well as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Rutgers University. Dan Tchernov earned a PhD in biology from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem between 1991 and 2003.
