Marshall Happer has extensive experience in the sports industry, primarily in football operations and events management. Marshall has held various leadership roles throughout their career.
From 1991 to 2008, Happer worked for the National Football League (NFL) Europe. Marshall started as a Coordinator of Events for the Frankfurt Galaxy team and eventually became the Director of Football Operations and Events for all of Europe. During their time with NFL Europe, they oversaw the operations and logistics of the league, including coordinating the World Bowl.
In 2008, Happer founded their own event management consulting firm, Marshall Happer Event Management. In 2018, Happer joined the XFL, a professional football league, as the Director of League Events. Marshall later became a Consultant for Football and Game Operations. The XFL aimed to deliver an authentic and high-energy football experience with simplified rules and fewer play stoppages. Happer was involved in planning and organizing league events, including the postseason playoffs and championship game.
Most recently, Happer worked for Fan Controlled Sports + Entertainment (FCSE), starting in 2020. Marshall held the positions of Senior Director of Football Operations and Vice President of Sports Operations. In these roles, they managed the on-the-ground football operations for 8 teams and 175 staff and players. Happer oversaw the budget and negotiations with vendors, practice facilities, and team hotels. Marshall also supervised a team of 18 operations staff and worked closely with coaching and operations personnel.
