Executive Vice President & Chief Operations & Logistics Officer at PROJECT LEAD THE WAY INC

As Chief Operations and Logistics Officer, Sam provides operational direction and strategy for critical functions, including Business Operations, Training Operations and Office Logistics that enable schools to successfully implement and participate in Project Lead The Way (PLTW) programs. He is responsible for developing and executing the customer-centric operations strategy, strongly aligned with PLTW’s North Star, by continually advancing related operational processes to increase value for customers and partners. Since 2006, Sam has held several leadership roles during his time or tenure at PLTW in the areas of Operations, Partnerships, Engagement and Programs.

Sam is a lifelong educator and has a passion for playing a role in the development of the talent pipeline during these ever-changing times. Prior to joining PLTW, Sam was a teacher facilitating several PLTW courses to students in Indiana and training new PLTW teachers across the U.S. He started two PLTW programs from inception and worked with local community leaders and school leadership to provide the best learning environment for students in his classroom. He enjoyed building new relationships and fostering existing relationships with teachers, schools and other companies to further everyone’s mission and create a win-win-win scenario for all parties involved.

Sam earned a Master of Business and Operational Excellence from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, a Bachelor of Science in Technology Education from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Purdue University.
