Rachael Callahan

Rachael Callahan, CMP, DES, currently serves as the Manager of Events & Meetings at the Project Management Institute since May 2025, overseeing events across Europe, Latin America, and North America. Previously, Rachael was the Director of Global Conferences and Events at the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association, leading significant conferences and events with attendance ranging from 400 to 2,000. Rachael also managed meeting operations for NHS Global Events, servicing over 60 domestic and international events. Rachael's extensive experience includes roles at the American Veterinary Medical Association, where responsibilities encompassed convention sponsorship and exhibit management for large-scale events, and at the American Society of Anesthesiologists®, focusing on meeting services for an annual meeting with 13,000 attendees. Rachael began in the industry with positions at Experient and Special Events Management, contributing to registration and event coordination. Rachael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Communication Studies from Illinois State University.
