Rachael Callahan

Rachael Callahan is a highly experienced events and meetings manager with a strong background in both domestic and international event planning. Currently serving as Manager of Events & Meetings at the Project Management Institute since May 2025, Rachael previously held the role of Director of Global Conferences and Events at the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association from February 2023 to May 2025, where leadership encompassed significant events such as the Woman of the Year event and the Annual Conference. Prior experience includes managing Meeting Operations at NHS Global Events and senior managerial roles at the American Veterinary Medical Association, focusing on convention sponsorship, exhibits, and comprehensive event planning. Rachael's career commenced as a Meeting Services Specialist with the American Society of Anesthesiologists®. Rachael holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Communication Studies from Illinois State University and a degree in Meeting and Event Planning from Harper College.
