Ilia Anossov

iLia Anossov is a seasoned artist and educator with over 20 years of experience in fresco painting, currently serving as the founder and director of Fresco School since January 1997. With a background in teaching all levels of students, from university professors to high school artists, iLia has developed the Buon Fresco Foundational principles, enabling students to embrace fresco techniques while maintaining their unique artistic styles. As the author of a comprehensive 5 Volume Buon Fresco Painting Foundations Video Tutorial, iLia contributes to the field through various roles, including fresco painting lecturer at the J. Paul Getty Trust and faculty member at Otis College of Art and Design. Additional involvement includes development and program architecture for Project Mexico & St. Innocent Orphanage, along with previous experience at the IDAL-International Decorative Artisans League. iLia's artistic journey began in Moscow with rigorous training at several prestigious studios.

Project Mexico & St. Innocent Orphanage performs works of mercy and helps others do works of mercy in the name of Jesus Christ, transcending cultural barriers by building homes for the poor in Mexico and by providing a home for orphaned boys through St. Innocent Orphanage. Project Mexico & St. Innocent Orphanage fosters hope in Mexico in three primary ways: 1) by alleviating suffering by building homes for impoverished families facing adversity 2) by providing an opportunity for Orthodox people of all ages to participate in missions 3) by providing a home and a family for orphaned teenage boys
