Frank Thorp has a diverse and extensive background in leadership and communication roles across various organizations. Currently serving on the Advisory Council for Project Recover and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Annapolis Maritime Museum & Park, Thorp previously held the positions of President & CEO at The United States Navy Memorial and Vice Chairman of the Board at the Navy Mutual Aid Association. Additional leadership experiences include chairing the USS Sioux City Commissioning Committee and serving as President of Quattro Communications Inc. Notable roles also encompass Senior Vice President of Marketing & Communication at USO and Chief of Information for the United States Navy. Thorp's educational credentials include a BS in Operations Analysis from the United States Naval Academy, an MS in National Security & Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, and an MA in Public Affairs & Broadcast Journalism from American University.

Project Recover
Project Recover’s vision is: (i) to repatriate every American service member who has not come home through research, searches, recoveries and other methodologies; (ii) to provide information and closure to the families of service members; (iii) to provide a platform to educate the public on the importance of service to one’s country; and (iv) to provide unique educational opportunities in the areas of science, technology, history, leadership, public service and diplomacy to a committed student audience, in conjunction with Project Recover’s mission, in order to provide a real world application to students and further educate the public.
