Sundeep Kartan

Sundeep Kartan has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Sundeep is currently the Director of Engineering, Data at project44, where they manage the Data Technology organization and oversees the MLOps team and the globally distributed Data Engineering team. Sundeep has established governance practices, optimized the data analytics platform, and facilitated cross-company outreach to enhance international visibility.

Prior to their current role, Sundeep worked at Amount as the Head of Data, leading the data engineering team and emphasizing software and process improvements to reduce manual tasks. Sundeep also served as the Head of Data Engineering, where they modernized the data pipeline, reduced compute usage, improved delivery time SLA, and reduced data platform infrastructure costs. Additionally, Sundeep was a Director of Engineering at Avant, where they focused on technology management.

Before transitioning into the financial industry, Sundeep gained experience at Citadel LLC as an Equities Technology Manager and Equities Software Engineer, and Motorola Mobility as an Acoustics and Audio Engineer. Sundeep holds a Master's degree in Engineering.

Sundeep Kartan has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, which they obtained from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science (M.S.) in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Acoustics and Signal Processing at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2007 to 2009. Sundeep also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering with Highest Honors, specializing in Signal Processing, from the same university, which they earned between 2003 and 2007.
