Brianna Mckinney

Director of Development at Project Guardianship

Brianna McKinney joined Project Guardianship as the Director of Development in May 2022. In this role, she garners support from individuals and institutions to advance the organization's strategy and vision.

Prior to Project Guardianship, Brianna worked with various local and national organizations to build financial security, preserve affordable housing, and recover from natural disaster in historically excluded communities. At Local Initiatives Support Corporation, she oversaw the repair of 200+ Brooklyn homes in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, and worked with homeowners, community leaders, and elected officials to pursue a holistic recovery across the borough. More recently, Brianna led the development and marketing department at Change Machine, a national intermediary that scales financial security through technology and nonprofit partnerships.

Brianna holds a Master of Social Work degree from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, with a focus in community organizing, planning, and development. In her spare time, you can find Brianna in Prospect Park with her pit pup, Elaine Benes.
