Akram Gholami

Akram Gholami is a Robotics Engineer at Promaxo, where responsibilities include conceptualizing a 5 DOF MRI-guided prostate biopsy robot and overseeing subsystem mechanism design while ensuring compliance with FDA regulations, resulting in three patents filed. Previously, Akram worked as a Doctoral Researcher at the University of California, Merced, designing and fabricating a strawberry harvesting robot's picking mechanism and deriving its kinematic and dynamics model. Prior experience includes managing a rapid prototyping team at Gator Robotics and leading multiple robotics projects, including developing an autonomous stair-climbing robot and participating in competitions related to agricultural robotics. Akram holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Merced, and both an MS and MEng in Mechanical Engineering and Agricultural and Biological Engineering from the University of Florida, respectively, along with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from K. N. Toosi University of Technology.
