Andy Hopwood

Andy Hopwood serves as the Genetic Identity Technical Support and Training Manager at Promega since May 2012. Prior experience includes a Senior Research Scientist role at the Forensic Science Service from October 2008 to April 2012, where Andy led R&D efforts in microfluidics and novel DNA chemistries. Andy's extensive background at the Forensic Science Service from 1994 to 2008 spans various roles including Science Area Manager, Research Scientist, and DNA Automation Project Manager, overseeing teams, managing substantial budgets, and developing innovative techniques to enhance forensic DNA processing. Andy holds a Ph.D. in Applied Biochemistry from the University of Nottingham and a B.Sc. in Applied Biology from the University of Greenwich.
