Julia Gilden is a Senior Scientist at Promega, where innovative cell-based bioassays are developed to advance Cell and Gene Therapy medicines since December 2015. Prior to this role, Julia worked as a Postdoc at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, focusing on lysosomal function in the human parasite Trypanosoma brucei from August 2011 to December 2015. Earlier experience includes a position at UCSF, where research centered on the role of septin complexes in T cell cortical stability. Julia holds a PhD in Biomedical Science from the University of California, San Francisco, earned from 2004 to 2011, and a BA in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology from Whitman College, completed from 2000 to 2004.
