Petr Marek

Petr Marek has a diverse work experience in the field of AI and NLP research. Petr started their career at Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics as an AI researcher in 2018. Later, they worked as an AI & NLP researcher at Concerto AI from November 2017 to January 2019. In 2019, Petr joined PromethistAI as an AI & NLP researcher and later became the Chief of AI research in August 2022. Petr also had internships at Amazon Lab126 in 2019 and 2020, where they worked as an Applied Scientist Intern, participating in the development and evaluation of data-driven models for machine learning and natural language applications. Petr also had a role as a Studentský mentor at eClub Prague from March 2019 onwards and was an AI researcher and developer for Alquist, a conversational AI, for the Amazon Alexa Prize Grand Challenges.

Petr Marek has a strong educational background in the field of technology and AI. Petr completed their PhD in Conversational AI from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague from 2018 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence from the same institution between 2016 and 2018. Petr also holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague, which they earned from 2013 to 2016. Petr Marek completed their high school education at Gymnázium Žatec from 2005 to 2013. Additionally, they have certifications as a First Aid Officer from the Czech Red Cross in 2013 and a Scout Leadership Certificate from Junák – Český skaut in 2012.
