Job description

Prominent Edge seeks a highly talented and passionate Business Administrator to join our team. Prominent Edge is a growing software engineering services company. We are seeking a capable person to support various business administration tasks and ensure the continuity of operations as we grow. The responsibilities of our existing staff can adapt to the skills and strengths of the candidate, hence we are open to different skill sets as long as the candidate is interested in supporting various aspects of our business operations. The selected candidate will support existing personnel and/or perform tasks related to various daily operations such as Human Resources, Finance, Contracts, and Compliance. Responsibilities

  • Support various business functions such as Administrative, Finance, Human Resources/Recruiting/Training, Contracts, and Business Development.
  • Manage and update the task board daily and work with staff to complete tasks. 
  • Improve processes and procedures.
  • Regularly attend scheduled daily and ad-hoc meetings over video conferencing during standard business hours.

Qualifications

  • Impeccably organized, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
  • Proficient in remote work and full-time availability during standard business hours. 
  • A people person capable of interfacing with employees and vendors.
  • Eager to learn from others and improve processes. 
  • Familiar with technologies such as Slack, Google Workspace, and/or Microsoft Teams. 
  • Bachelor of Business Administration, Finance, a related degree, or equivalent experience.

Desired

  • 10 yrs+ experience with HR/benefits, compliance, bookkeeping, management, contracts, and/or invoicing experience. 

Example tasks

  • Collaborate with our accounting firm for filing taxes.
  • Work with our consultants for compliance and annual reviews for 401k, DCAA, and 8(a).
  • Review timesheets and ensure payroll.
  • Maintain state registrations, taxes, and compliance obligations for employees in various states.
  • Manage account receivables, payables, and monthly financial reconciliation.
  • Conduct employee onboarding.
  • Review and address corporate mail.
  • Support some aspects of ISO annual audits.-
