Role Overview:

As a Project Manager (PM) you’ll work closely with our customers and internal teams to guide the planning, initiation, and operation of prioritized projects in an agile environment.  You’re responsible for the development of planning and execution frameworks that enable efficient, high-quality delivery of customer-facing or internal projects in a way that enables us to move quickly and think creatively. You’ll also directly contribute to projects by owning operational tasks.

Successful candidates have a low-ego, get things done attitude and possess a combination of project management, process improvement, and execution skills.  You’ll remove roadblocks and anticipate customer and stakeholder needs to keep our staff and engineers focused on the most valuable work. You see no task as too big or small, and are willing to be hands on as a contributor in the thick of implementation.  You create contingency plans to ensure smooth and continuous project delivery no matter the obstacles encountered, and measure the efficacy of our campaigns and process improvements, optimizing as you go.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan, initiate and operate high-priority projects across the Promise’s customer deployments and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Develop planning / implementation frameworks and continuous improvement systems to reduce costs and increase project efficiency as we scale.
  • Translate customer requirements into actionable internal plans, objectives, and KPIs to ensure implementation success and consistent revenue collection.
  • Capture detailed notes and actions to maintain accountability across various internal and external stakeholder groups.
  • Enable others to do what they’re best at by removing roadblocks and reducing unnecessary noise and toil.
  • Jump in on operational tasks big or small, enabling our engineers to stay focused on development work.
  • Measure your effectiveness and that of the team to promote continuous improvement.
  • Be creative, work collaboratively, and do whatever it takes to get the job done.

What Will Enable You

  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical or operations-related field, or equivalent work experience (5+ years)
  • Experience and familiarity with managing software development frameworks in a technical environment and/or experience supporting customer-facing software implementations.
  • A proven track record of creating hybrid, lightweight, and low-overhead tracking mechanisms to keep technical implementation on track without stifling creativity.
  • Breadth knowledge of common project management frameworks (waterfall, agile, etc.).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to work with diverse stakeholder and implementer groups.
  • A low-ego, low-status approach to problem solving, and a willingness to take on any task, big or small.
  • An ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • An ability to work quickly, without sacrificing quality
  • A strong, autonomous work ethic: you don’t need to be told what to do next
  • Openness to travel based on partner and customer requirements, potentially 50% or more.
