Morten Ruud

Morten Ruud has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and responsibilities. Morten started their career at Flesland Lufthavn as a soldier, where they served as the spokesman for the local soldiers in the transport division. Morten then joined Bergen Realistforening as a board member.

In 2001, Morten joined Conax AS, initially as an Operations Engineer before transitioning into the role of Project Manager and later Senior Project Manager. Morten was responsible for managing projects and also played a key role in the development and qualification of the Conax CableCARD product.

Continuing their career at Conax, Morten moved to Conax USA Inc in 2007, where they served as a Product Manager and Technical Specialist for North America. Morten focused on the development of the Conax CableCARD and their work in the OpenCable field.

From 2009 to 2011, Morten served as an International Product Marketing Manager at Conax, where they were involved in advanced pre-sales activities, writing responses to RFI/RFQ/RFP, and planning and attending trade shows. Morten also handled product marketing, marketing materials, solution designs, and social media communications and strategy.

Returning to Conax, Morten took on various roles from 2012 to 2018. Morten started as a Manager Presales, responsible for setting up the presales department and managing customer requirements. Morten then became the Director of Presales, leading a global team and implementing new processes and procedures for presales. In their subsequent role as Senior Advisor Presales, Morten provided technical sales support and acted as a liaison between sales and engineering teams. Lastly, they served as a Senior Advisor and Global Coordinator Presales, responsible for coordinating presales activities globally and reporting project status and escalations.

Since 2018, Morten has been working at Promon as a Manager Sales Engineering and currently as a Product Manager. The exact details of their responsibilities and experiences in these roles have not been provided.

From 1994 to 2000, they attended the University of Bergen (UiB) where they pursued a Cand. Mag. degree in Psychology, IT, and Mathematics. Following this, from 2000 to 2001, they enrolled at Griffith University, obtaining a Master of IT degree with a specialization in IT.
