Michael Freedman

Michael Freedman has over thirty years of experience in the insurance sector, beginning with their role as Managing Partner & Vice President at Bernard Freedman Insurance Ltd. in 1983. Michael then moved to W.T. McMullen & Associates Inc. in 1994, where they were Vice President - Insurance & Systems and led the Personal Lines Department while managing IT and business systems.

In 1999, Freedman became President & CEO of The Insurers Financial Group Inc. (now Benson Kearley IFG), where they made numerous business enhancements resulting in extraordinary revenue and a positive, harmonious employee culture. Michael left just prior to the Benson Kearley and IFG merger in early 2011.

Freedman then moved to Cooke Insurance Group in 2019, where they were Vice President of Business Development. In 2022, they began working at ProNavigator as Business Development.

Michael Freedman attended Dalhousie University from 1977 to 1981, graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce - BComm in Business/Commerce, General. Michael then attended the Insurance Institute of Canada from 1982 to 1985, obtaining their CIP-Chartered Insurance Professional in June 1985. Michael also obtained a Registered Insurance Broker certification from the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) in August 1981.
