Ayala Stadler-Lagziel

Ayala Stadler-Lagziel is an experienced professional with a background in molecular diagnostics and healthcare research. Most recently, they served as the Head of Laboratory Operations and QA at Pronto Diagnostics, a renowned leader in the field. Prior to that, Ayala held the role of VP Lab Operations at Variantyx for two and a half years, from June 2020 to December 2022. Ayala also served as the Chief Clinical Officer at Igentify for a year, starting in 2019. Before transitioning to executive positions, Ayala co-founded GeneSort, a molecular diagnostics company focused on personalized cancer therapeutic approaches, where they served as the CEO, CTO, and played a pivotal role in its successful operations from January 2014 to December 2018. Ayala also gained valuable experience as the Assistant Director of Technology Transfer and Validation, as well as the Assistant Director of R&D at GeneDx, where they started their career in 2009 and stayed until 2013. Additionally, Ayala contributed significantly to healthcare research as a Research Scientist at the National Institutes of Health from 2002 to 2009, investigating genes associated with hereditary hearing impairment and Usher syndrome. Ayala started their scientific career as a Senior Scientist at the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, where they worked from 1997 to 2001. Throughout their work experience, Ayala has displayed their expertise in molecular diagnostics, technology transfer, research, and leadership roles, making their a highly accomplished professional in the field.

Ayala Stadler-Lagziel earned their PhD in Genetics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, studying from 1993 to 1997.
