David Sorrentino

David Sorrentino has a diverse work experience spanning from 2003 to the present.

Most recently, they have been working at ProntoPro since 2016. David started as a Senior Frontend Engineer in July 2016 and worked until January 2017. In January 2017, they transitioned to the role of Frontend Lead, where they were responsible for fostering the growth of the frontend team, designing and developing web and native applications, supervising architectural decisions, and recruiting. In September 2018, they were promoted to Engineering Manager, overseeing the engineering team until January 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Engineering, starting from January 2021.

Before ProntoPro, David worked at ArToo Campus as a JavaScript Trainer from September 2015 to June 2016, where they prepared teaching materials, delivered lectures and seminars, and assessed students' work.

David also worked at The Hive CoWorking & Incubator as a Tech Lead & Scrum Master from June 2015 to June 2016, where they managed projects and teams using the Scrum methodology and designed and developed cloud applications.

Prior to that, David was a Software Consultant at Sida Group Srl from January 2014 to June 2016. David'sresponsibilities included API and middleware analysis and design, software optimization, and recruiting.

David worked as a Tech Lead at WeBox Studio from January 2013 to May 2015, where they managed a team and designed and developed desktop and mobile application software, APIs, and middlewares.

David's career started in 2003 as an Independent Worker, where they worked as a Web Developer and Designer until September 2006. During this time, they were responsible for website design, development, and maintenance.

Before joining ProntoPro, David also gained experience as a Full-Stack Web Developer at Coworkingness Consulting from June 2012 to December 2014, as a Software Engineer at CADIA (Center for Analysis and Design of Intelligent Agents) from August 2011 to June 2012, and as a Software Engineer at Computer Sistemi Group from May 2008 to October 2008.

David Sorrentino completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Computer Science at the Università degli Studi di Urbino Carlo Bo from 2006 to 2010. David then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Camerino, which they completed from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, they also completed another Master's degree in Computer Science at Reykjavik University from 2011 to 2012.
