Lead, Learning Platform at Proof of Learn

Hunter Hodnett began their career in 2013 as a Software Engineer at The Home Depot. After graduating from Auburn University with a degree in Software Engineering in 2013, they went on to work as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon Music from 2015 to 2017. During their time at Amazon Music, they helped launch Amazon Music Unlimited and created a tool to programmatically identify performance regressions in release candidates. In 2017, they became a Software Engineer at Reddit, Inc., where they helped build the new reddit.com website with React.js, Redux, and TypeScript. In 2019, they joined The Home Depot as an Instructor and Staff Software Engineer and single-handedly built an e-learning platform to facilitate the retraining of 290 software engineers within 3 months. In 2021, they became the Founder and CEO of Cottage, a company which teaches junior engineers how to code by engaging in real work from real clients in a competition-based format. Hunter is currently the Lead of the Learning Platform at Proof of Learn.

Hunter Hodnett obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering from Auburn University. In 2020, they obtained a Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft. In 2022, they obtained a Long-form Improvisational Comedy certification from Fallout Theater.
