Arieann DeFazio

Arieann DeFazio has a diverse range of work experience across various industries. Arieann has held the role of Fractional Chief Operating Officer at Béa Fertility and Proov, both in 2023. Prior to that, they served as Chief Operating Officer and Venture Partner at She's Independent, a women-first investment group, from 2022 onwards.

In 2020, Arieann joined Drop Bio as the Chief Operating Officer, where they worked towards accelerating the world's transition to personalized health through fingerprick blood testing. Arieann held this position until 2022.

From 2018 to 2022, Arieann was a Board Member at SolderWorks, a company supporting early-stage entrepreneurs. Arieann also founded and served as the CEO of Kitables, an organization dedicated to providing DIY project kits to individuals from 2014 to 2020.

Additionally, Arieann has gained experience in the field of startup acceleration. Arieann served as the Program Director at Catalyze CU, a startup accelerator for CU students, faculty, and staff in 2019. In the same year, they also worked as the Principal Architect at Conduit Accel, a hyper-accelerator for Australian companies expanding into the US market.

Arieann's earlier work experience includes serving as the Executive Director at Spark Boulder from 2015 to 2017 and as a Professional Research Assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder from 2012 to 2015.

Arieann DeFazio has a strong background in biology and biochemistry. Arieann began their education at Santa Fe Community College, where they obtained an Associate's Degree in Biological Sciences from 2005-2007. Arieann then transferred to the University of Florida, earning a Bachelor's degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from 2007-2009. Arieann later returned to the University of Florida from 2011-2012 to further their studies in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology/Clinical and Translational Science, although they did not obtain a degree during this time. Overall, Arieann's education has provided their with a solid foundation in the field of biology and has further enhanced their knowledge in the areas of biochemistry and clinical translational science.
