Allison Torpey

Allison Torpey is currently the Director at Propeller. Prior to their current position, they worked as a Supply Chain Analyst at adidas group from June 2013 to May 2014. In their previous role, they were responsible for creating, analyzing, and reviewing forecasts and buy reports to influence adequate production and inventory positions and determine appropriate buy quantities to meet both made-to-order and made-to-forecast demand.

Allison is experienced in developing and executing purchasing strategies for key initiatives within the business through complex reporting and analysis. Allison is also skilled in socializing plans through regular bilateral communication with all stakeholders. In their previous role at adidas group, they developed, socialized, and launched a new process to review changes in shipments from sea to air freight, increasing process visibility and time to make upgrade choices, and providing cost avoidance measures.

Allison has a proven track record of being able to interview key stakeholders—including all business units, finance, sales, and customer service—to solicit feedback and gain buy-in, synthesizing responses and distilling them into actionable process improvements. Through as-is/to-be analysis, they were able to determine and implement multiple new/improved processes resulting in a 30% reduction in air freight collect costs for 2014. Allison also trained analysts on the new process and educated business teams, regularly communicating the change and its importance.

After completing their undergraduate degree at Wesleyan University, Allison Torpey pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in supply chain management and sustainability from Portland State University. Allison then went on to earn an executive education from Harvard Business School. In addition to their formal education, Allison Torpey holds various certifications, including Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, RRCA Certified Running Coach, Certified Change Practitioner (CCP), OSHA 30-Hour Certification, LEED Accredited Professional, Project Management Professional (PMP), and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM). Allison is also a 200-hr Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT).
