Description | The Cyber Security Engineer fortifies our information and network infrastructure against potential threats. Reporting to the Director of Information Security, you will spearhead initiatives to safeguard our information and network infrastructure. Your expertise will be pivotal in designing robust cybersecurity architecture and implementing proactive security measures.

Responsibilities | Duties of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Develop, execute, and monitor security measures to safeguard information and network infrastructure.
  • Design and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies.
  • Identify system security requirements and propose solutions.
  • Configure, troubleshoot and maintain security infrastructure.
  • Install and monitor security software to detect breaches and intrusions.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of our information security strategy.
  • Respond swiftly to security breaches.
  • Implement and manage security controls to protect data and infrastructure.
  • Contribute to the change management process.
  • Conduct network and system vulnerability assessments.
  • Perform daily administrative tasks and liaise with relevant departments.

Qualifications & Desired Skills |

  • 5+ years of experience as a System Security Engineer or related position.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proven experience developing, operating, and maintaining security systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of operating systems and database security.
  • Proficiency in networking technologies, network security, and network monitoring solutions.
  • Knowledge of security systems including anti-virus applications, content filtering, firewalls, authentication systems, and intrusion detection and notification systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of security protocols and principles.
  • Deep Experience with AWS, Azure, and other Cloud technologies.
  • Experience Securing Terrestrial installations.
  • Experience migrating Data Centers with a Security Focus.
  • Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security preferred.
  • Experience with Okta Configuration and Management.
  • Proficient in SSO and Security Operations.
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to solve complex problems.

Full time positions are scheduled to work 40 hours per week, M-F unless required otherwise by projects. Part time positions are scheduled to work a maximum of 30 hours per week (all part time positions will be specified in the job title.)
