Jacob Funch

Jacob Funch is a user experience designer and co-founder of Proper. Jacob has over six years of experience in the industry, working with various brands to help them improve their digital presence. Jacob started their career as a teaching assistant at the University of Copenhagen before moving to Think! Digital DK as a user experience consultant. In this role, they advised and developed new user-oriented design techniques for local and international brands in Hong Kong. Jacob also developed design and web development for new product branding, e-commerce solutions, social media branding, and strategies. After a year in this role, they moved to Stepworks as a user experience designer. Jacob spent a year at Stepworks before moving to Swipp in April 2016. At Swipp, they were in charge of transforming Swipp's mindset to become more developer oriented. The vision was to grow Swipp as a business payment platform rather than an consumer mobile app. Jacob managed the open API to make payments available in any context, even apps. Jacob was also the product owner of payment agreements, a direct competitor to BS. In October 2016, they left Swipp to start Proper with two other co-founders.

Jacob Funch completed a Master's degree in Communication and IT at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen. Jacob also completed a BA in Communication and IT at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen. In addition, they have studied marketing, management, web applications, counselling in business, Hong Kong politics, and Chinese at The University of Hong Kong.

They work with Nabil Dabbagh - Director of Customer Success, Jacob Bay Hansen - Software Lead, and Dragos Petria - Growth Manager. Jacob Funch reports to Morten Krarup Kristensen, Co-founder and CEO.
