Jacob Vingless

Jacob Vingless has a diverse work experience. Jacob currently works at PROPHESEE as a Senior Field Application Engineer since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Basler AG for several roles. From April 2018 to December 2021, they were a Field Applications Engineer, leading a team and securing development contracts with Fortune 500 companies. Before that, from June 2017 to April 2018, they served as a Lead Applications Engineer, managing daily activities and optimizing processes within the Applications Engineering team. From January 2016 to April 2018, Jacob also held the position of IT Administrator at Basler AG, where they managed system architecture and resolved IT-related issues. From July 2013 to April 2018, they were an Application Engineer, providing pre- and post-sales support for computer vision-based products and offering vision application consulting to customers. Additionally, from November 2015 to January 2017, they acted as the Team Leader for Technical Support.

During their time at Allegheny College, Jacob had two roles. From August 2010 to May 2013, they worked as a Help Desk Technician, resolving computer issues for students and faculty through customer service and hands-on interactions. In 2012, specifically from May to August, they were a Student Researcher, where they modeled merging binary star systems using a smoothed particle hydrodynamics computer code and learned Fortran computing language.

In 2011, Jacob briefly worked as an HVAC Mechanic at Freedom Cooling and Heating, LLC.

Jacob Vingless obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics from Allegheny College, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, they also acquired additional certifications. In 2016, Jacob completed the CVP- Advanced certification program offered by AIA - Advancing Vision + Imaging. Two years later, in 2018, they completed the Dale Carnegie Sales Training: Winning with Relationship Selling program provided by Dale Carnegie Training.
