Frank Lai

Frank Lai has a strong background in cloud computing and software-defined storage. Frank started their career at Clarify as a Staff Software Engineer from 1992-1995. Frank then worked as a Member of the Technical Staff 4 at Sunsoft in 1996-1997. Frank later joined Nimber Micro as a Product and Business Development Director from 2001-2003. Frank then served as a Senior Engineering Manager at WebEx from 2003-2007. Frank worked as a Solution Architect at Concord Consulting from 2007-2009. From 2009-2013, they worked at ITRI as a Deputy Director of Cloud Computing, where they designed and pioneered innovative cloud computing solutions. Currently, Frank is the VP of Cloud Computing at ProphetStor Data Service, Inc., where they have established corporate presence and led initiatives in software-defined storage for cloud computing and software-defined data centers. Frank has also developed corporate relationships with Fortune 500 customers in this role.

Frank Lai completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from National Taiwan University. Frank attended this university from 1982 to 1986. Afterward, they pursued further studies and obtained a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a specialization in Software System/Computer Architecture from UC Santa Barbara. Frank completed their master's degree from 1989 to 1991.
