Jim Busby

Jim Busby has a diverse work experience in the healthcare and language services industry. Jim began their career at Nuance Communications in 2008 as a Business Development professional, selling Dragon Medical 10 Enterprise to large healthcare systems in the Midwest. Jim then worked as a Director of Sales at 1450, an independent contractor that distributed Dragon Medical Practice Edition (DMPE) in the US. In this role, they managed a network of over 125 VARs and signed up 6 EMR vendors to resell DMPE.

From 2009 to 2010, Busby served as the Director of National Sales at Meridian EMR, where they established the company as a key player in the General Surgery market. Jim also worked as the Director of Sales at Conant and Associates, Inc., where they teamed up with Nuance's authorized sales agent and had national direct sales responsibility for DMPE to physician groups.

Busby then joined M*Modal as a Channel Manager, where they managed the partnership between M*Modal and Allscripts for the Fluency Direct Front End Speech Recognition technology. Jim developed sales campaign programs for the AHS sales team and worked with prospects and clients of Sunrise Clinical Manager and Enterprise EHR.

In 2013, Busby became a Business Consultant at iTi Voice, providing support and training for the adoption of Dragon Medical and M*Modal Fluency Direct within EHR systems. Jim also had experience in direct sales of Dragon Medical Practice Edition to physician groups.

From 2014 to 2015, Busby worked as a Dragon Support Analyst at Adventist Health, and then joined Stratus Video Interpreting in 2015 as an Executive Sales Director. In this role, they focused on large health systems and was an industry expert on implementing VRI within healthcare.

Most recently, in 2017, Busby joined Propio Language Services as a Business Development Executive. The company provides interpreting and translation services to help people overcome language barriers in medical, personal, legal, and business interactions.

Jim Busby has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration & Marketing from the University of Kentucky. Jim also holds a certification in Miller-Heiman from MModal.
