Raquel Rutledge

Raquel Rutledge is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in investigative reporting. Currently serving as a Reporter at ProPublica since August 2025, Rutledge previously held the position of Investigations Editor at The Examination from April 2023 to August 2025. From 2004 to April 2023, Rutledge worked as an Investigative Reporter at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. In addition, Rutledge completed a Nieman Fellowship at Harvard University from August 2011 to May 2012 and began a career as a Reporter at The Colorado Springs Gazette, LLC from 1997 to 2004. Rutledge holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
