Rene Beukema

Rene Beukema has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. rene'smost recent position is with ProQR Therapeutics, where they serve as the Chief Corporate Development Officer & General Counsel since 2022. Prior to this, Rene was involved in their own business, De Klyne Beuk BV, in 2019. Additionally, they held the role of General Counsel & Chief Corporate Development at Frame Cancer Therapeutics from 2019 to 2022. rene also held various leadership positions at ProQR Therapeutics NV, including Chief Corporate Development Officer from 2013 to 2019. Prior to that, Rene was a Partner at Aescap in 2012. rene also worked at Crucell as the General Counsel & Corporate Secretary from 1999 to 2012, and at TNT as a Legal Counsel from 1991 to 1994.

Rene Beukema obtained a Master's degree in Rechten / Rechten en rechtswetenschappen from the University of Amsterdam, which they attended from 1984 to 1990. Additionally, they completed a Post-Doctoral program at the Nederlands Genootschap van Bedrijfsjuristen.
