Josette Thompson has nearly 20 years of experience in Public Relations, working across a variety of industries with a current focus on financial and professional services.
At Prosek Partners, she is responsible for a multi-million-dollar portfolio of clients in insurance, wealth management, real estate and consumer finance, overseeing their public relations, investor relations, crisis communications, thought leadership and social media programs.
Thompson began her career in the consumer and luxury/fashion PR industries, working on large-scale B2B and B2C campaigns for some of the world’s most well-known brands.
Thompson also leads Prosek’s Culture, Diversity & Inclusion strategy as its D&I Chair, spearheading internal programming and providing insights to clients on their initiatives. She plays an active role in efforts aimed at increasing diversity within the PR industry and helped lead the communication efforts for the recent book “Diverse Voices: Profiles in Leadership,” an effort by the PRSA Foundation and Museum of Public Relations, featuring the stories of multicultural executives in the industry.
Thompson is a graduate of The Arthur W. Page Society’s Future Leaders program and a current member of its Page Up organization where she serves as an active member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. She has a passion for philanthropy and is on the board of The HOPE Program, a workforce development program that empowers New Yorkers with significant barriers to employment to lift themselves out of poverty through training, jobs and career advancement. She also founded Prosek’s Corporate Volunteer and Giving initiative.
Thompson earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media Studies from Fordham University.
