Dennis Solas

Dennis Solas is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in drug discovery and synthesis, particularly in the domains of antiviral drugs, CO2 sequestration, and organic synthesis. Currently serving as Senior Scientist III at Prosetta Biosciences Inc since September 2012, Dennis focuses on the development of small heterocyclic molecules for HIV and ALS treatment, alongside antimicrobials. Prior roles include Senior Scientist at Calera Corporation, where innovative methods for CO2 sequestration were explored, and Contract Scientist then Senior Scientist II at Alexza Pharmaceuticals, contributing to the synthesis of bioactive compounds for clinical studies and novel drug delivery systems. Dennis’s earlier experience at Affymax Research Institute involved pro-drug modifications and combinatorial library synthesis, leading to significant advancements in drug discovery technologies.
