Joe Fullerton

Joe Fullerton has been a leader in energy and sustainability for over 15 years. As Director of Energy and Sustainability Programs at Prospect Silicon Valley, Joe will leverage his education and experience to help accelerate the adoption and commercialization of clean technologies. Joe will continue to apply strong habits from his early career; to do right for the client and the planet. Since being a green builder, Joe was a pioneer of reach code adoption in California as the Green Building and Environmental Specialist at the City of Santa Cruz. he went on to lead the successful turnaround of the Dairy industry Resource Advantage Program for CLEAResult.

After implementing projects that saved megawatts of electricity, Joe applied his passion for inclusive, high-quality education as Energy and Sustainability Manager at San Mateo County Community College District. Here he modeled a comprehensive suite of programs that generated synergistic academic and operational benefits. In addition to his role at SMCCCD, Joe was the inaugural Chair of the Climate Action and Sustainability Committee for the California Community College system.

He continues to serve as a citizen advisor for Peninsula Clean Energy, a Council Member of the California Environmental Literacy Initiative, and Building Operations Certification Instructor for the Northwest Energy Efficiency Council. He holds bachelors in Sustainable Enterprise Management from the University of Phoenix and is an Executive Master of Sustainability Leadership from Arizona State University. Joe has been recognized nationally, within the state, and locally for his substantial positive impacts on the built environment, water conservation, waste management, transportation, workforce development, environmental justice, and a range of leading sustainability programs and projects.
