Varsha Agarwal

Varsha Agarwal has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Varsha is currently the Head of Information Security at Prosper Marketplace, where they oversee global information security and privacy. Prior to this, they worked as the Global Program Leader for Information Security Advisory & Compliance Program at Milliman, where they provided services to independent consulting franchises specialized in healthcare, employee benefits, and life and casualty. Varsha has also held positions at JPMorgan Chase & Co., PwC, and KPMG US, gaining expertise in information risk management and systems and process risk assurance. In addition, Varsha has experience as a Founder and Creative Director of a luxury professional womenswear brand called VARSHA. Varsha has also contributed to the fields of HIV vaccine research and myopia research during their time as a research intern at IAVI and The City University of New York, respectively. Varsha is an Official Member of the Forbes Technology Council.

Varsha Agarwal completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial & Enterprise Systems Engineering, with a concentration in Bioengineering, from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they attended from 2003 to 2007. Additionally, they hold several certifications in the field of information technology and privacy, including Certified CSF Practitioner (CCSFP) from HITRUST, Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) from IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)².
