Brian R. has significant work experience in the financial sector, particularly in the credit union industry. Brian most recently served as the Chief Risk Officer at Prospera Credit Union starting in January 2020. Prior to that, from October 2015 to December 2019, they held the role of Chief Credit Officer & SVP Commercial Operations at Westminster Savings Credit Union.

Before joining Westminster Savings, from August 2013 to September 2015, Brian R. was the Vice President, Corporate Development at Coast Capital Savings. Prior to that, from August 2010 to August 2013, they served as Vice President, Commercial Credit Risk at the same institution.

Brian R.'s diverse work experience also includes serving as the EVP Business Operations at Tampa Bay Lightning from July 2008 to June 2010. Brian started their career at HSBC Bank Canada where they held the position of Head of Business Banking from June 1992 to June 2008.

Brian R. has a strong educational background in the field of finance. Brian obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from The University of British Columbia, where they studied from 1988 to 1992. Following this, Brian pursued their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) specializing in International Finance at the Schulich School of Business at York University. Brian attended the Schulich School of Business from 1996 to 1998.

To further enhance their knowledge and skills in finance, Brian completed the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program at the CFA Institute. Brian attended the CFA Institute from 1998 to 2001, acquiring expertise in Corporate Finance and Equity Valuation. As a result, Brian earned the CFA designation.
