R.p.bio Adrian MacKay

Adrian MacKay, R.P.Bio, MBA has a diverse and extensive work experience. Adrian started their career in 2010 as an Independent and Scientific Consultant, where they quickly advanced from an individual contributor to a project manager. Adrian gained deep experience in marine, pulp & paper, oil & gas, hydroelectric, and mining industries. Adrian utilized analytics to drive hypothesis-based research and successfully solved client challenges. As a manager, they led interdisciplinary teams and completed a reporting backlog of 85 environmental site assessments for upstream oil and gas clients.

In 2017, Adrian joined KPMG Canada as a Senior Consultant in Strategy & Operations, where they worked until 2020. During their time at KPMG, they contributed to strategic planning and operational improvements for various clients.

Since 2020, Adrian has been working at Prospera Credit Union. Following their merger with Westminster Savings Credit Union, they joined as the Manager of Strategy and Corporate Development. Adrian focused on integrating the organizations and establishing the company's strategy. In November 2021, they were promoted to the position of Director of Strategy and Corporate Development, where they currently hold this role.

Adrian MacKay, R.P.Bio, MBA has an extensive education history. Adrian obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the Ivey Business School at Western University in 2017. Prior to that, Adrian completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with a specialization in Conservation Biology, at The University of British Columbia from 2005 to 2010. Adrian also holds an Associate of Arts degree from Langara College, which they received from 2002 to 2005.

In addition to their academic achievements, Adrian has also obtained several certifications. Adrian is a Professional Biologist (P.Biol; Retired), certified by the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists since December 2014. Adrian is also a Registered Professional Biologist (RPBio) accredited by the College of Applied Biology since October 2014. Furthermore, Adrian has completed a certification course in Data Science and Big Data Analytics: Making Data-Driven Decisions from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in October 2017.
