Don Sucher

Don Sucher has extensive work experience in the field of internal auditing. Don currently holds the position of Vice President Senior Internal Auditor at Prosperity Bank since September 2020. Prior to this, they served as Vice President and Senior Auditor II at Jefferson Bank from August 2016 to August 2020. From August 2014 to August 2016, they worked as Vice President and Auditor at IBC Bank.

Don also has prior experience at Prosperity Bank, where they worked as Senior Vice President - Internal Audit from October 2013 to August 2014. In this role, they played a key role in establishing and developing the Internal Audit Department.

Before joining Prosperity Bank, Don worked at First Victoria Bank for a significant part of their career. Don held various positions, starting from EDP Auditor in March 1998 and eventually reaching the position of Senior Vice President - Internal Audit in October 2013. Their responsibilities at First Victoria Bank included planning and executing audits related to IT General Controls, Trust, Wire Transfer, ACH, Internet Banking, TR-39 (TG-3) Pin Security and Key Management, and GLBA - Information Security.

Prior to their banking career, Don worked at Norwest Services/Central Computers Inc., where they held the role of Production Control Technician II from February 1984 to December 1997. Their responsibilities included disk and tape file management, job control language programming, report distribution system management, batch job scheduling and management, and disaster recovery planning and testing.

Throughout their career, Don has demonstrated expertise in internal auditing and has been entrusted with increasing levels of responsibility.

Don Sucher earned a Certificate of Studies in Business from Victoria College from 1978 to 1981. Don then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Houston-Victoria from 1980 to 1982. Don also holds several additional certifications, including Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CFIRS, and CISA, obtained in various years.
