Alex Santiago

Alex Santiago, FSA, MAAA, currently serves as AVP of Annuity Pricing at Prosperity Life since July 2024, following a tenure in the same role at National Western Life Insurance Company from February 2021 to July 2024, which was subsequently acquired by Prosperity Life. At NWL, Alex led the annuity pricing team, managing model development, assumption setting, and state annuity filings for an insurer with approximately $9 billion in reserves. Previously, Alex held the position of Director of Annuity Pricing at American National from June 2015 to January 2021, focusing on profitability reporting, product specifications, and rate setting, while also training junior actuaries. Alex began the actuarial career as an Actuarial Intern at American National Insurance in 2014 and completed a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from The University of Texas at Austin between 2012 and 2015.
