Janet Starck

Janet Starck is the Midwest Regional Medical Director at Prospero Health. Janet was previously the Medical Director at VITAS Healthcare from July 2017 to September 2018. Prior to that, they were a Fellow at the University of Chicago Medicine from July 2016 to June 2017 in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. From June 2013 to June 2016, Janet was an Internal Medicine Resident at The University of Oklahoma-Tulsa School of Community Medicine. In September 2018, they became an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago Hospital in Palliative Care, a position they still hold. Janet started their career as the PHO Director/Director of Managed Care at Advocate Physician Partners from January 2004 to December 2008. Janet then became the Vice President of Finance and Operations at Easter Seals DuPage and the Fox Valley Region from January 2002 to December 2004.

Janet Starck earned their Doctor of Medicine from American University of the Caribbean, a Master of Business Administration with a focus in finance and health care management from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, and a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Notre Dame. Janet is currently a Fellow in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at the University of Chicago.
