Zuguang Gu

Zuguang Gu is an experienced bioinformatician currently serving as a Senior Bioinformagician at DKFZ German Cancer Research Center since February 2013, where the focus is on advanced analyses of biological data. In addition, Zuguang Gu has been a Bioinformatics Consultant at ProtaGene since August 2017. Prior engagements include a PhD position at Nanjing University from September 2009 to July 2012, with a thesis on "Systems Biology Analysis on Microarray Data," and a brief role as an Outsourcing Consultant at GenScript, Inc. in mid-2012. Prior work also includes a position as a Data Analyst for Ping An Insurance in 2008. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Biology and Molecular Biology, a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, all from Nanjing University. Research interests encompass gene regulatory network analysis in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and the development of algorithms for significant pathway identification utilizing network topology information.
