Ken MacLauchlan

Ken MacLauchlan has extensive experience in the automotive and engineering sectors, currently serving as Chief Engineer for In Wheel Motors at Protean Electric since September 2010. MacLauchlan has driven the technical development of advanced in-wheel electric motor technologies and managed core product programs. Previous positions include Programme Manager and Vehicle Systems Manager at Protean Electric, where successful projects included the development of electric and hybrid vehicles in collaboration with BRABUS. Prior roles at Mindsheet Ltd, TRW Electric Power Steering Systems, and Lucas Advanced Product Development further demonstrate a strong background in project management, engineering change initiatives, and product innovation. MacLauchlan holds an MEng in Microelectronic Systems Engineering from The University of Manchester.
